Cholmondeley Children's Centre

Supporting Cholmondeley Children’s Centre

We provide comprehensive 24/7 respite care for children aged 5-12, offering outdoor activities and learning experiences tailored to promote wellbeing and resilience.

At Cholmondeley, our services are underpinned by a philosophy of care rooted in the rights of children. We firmly believe in the inherent value and potential of every child, guiding them to cultivate their strengths through our nurturing and educational programs.

In addition, our community outreach Awhi Team extends support to families in their own homes. Comprising social workers, youth workers, and Whānau Ora Navigators, this team empowers and assists families in their everyday journey of life.

Cholmondeley operates as an independent charity, requiring close to $3,000,000 annually to sustain its operations. While government funding covers only 20% of this amount, the remaining 80% is generously provided by the supportive Canterbury community.
